Well, it was a great semester. Full of all the little ups and downs that make life great.
As I'm choosing to focus on the ups, here goes:
1) Assassins went well. Although I must say I couldn't have done it without my dear friend Kaitlin. She was a vital support system for me throughout tech. Thank you!
2) I graduated with my BA in Theatre from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
3) I am again working for the Great Plains Theatre Conference which officially kicks off in 2 days.
4) I was hired at the Assistant to the Director of Productions for Shakespeare on the Green.
5) Ok, this one is probably the biggest announcement. I was accepted into Columbia University for grad school! And I was given fellowships that will make it possible for me to attend! So I will be heading to NYC at the end of summer for 2 years of work for an MFA in stage management! Deep breath, there's a lot of exclamation points in that last section but they need to be there. I can't tell you how excited I am for this next section of my life.
Yes, it will be difficult. The most difficult part will be being separated from my husband and kids for almost 2 years. But I'll be home as much as I can, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. Being on my own for the first time ever will also be difficult, I expect. Thanks to everyone who sent me good thoughts and wishes!
